Armitage Shanks and Ideal Standard Spares CARTRIDGE THERMOSTATIC MARKWIK 10 PCS F960879NU

The Armitage Shanks A4131AA: A Benchmark in Professional Washroom Design In the realm of commercial and public washroom specifications, the selection of fixtures transcends mere aesthetics, demanding a confluence of durability, hygiene, efficiency, and ergonomic design. The Armitage Shanks A4131AA basin mixer stands as a prime example of this meticulous engineering, embodying the brand's commitment to delivering high-performance solutions tailored for demanding environments. As a key component within the esteemed Contour 21 series, this basin mixer is not merely a tap; it is a carefully considered element designed to integrate seamlessly into modern, high-traffic washroom settings, offering a professional-grade solution that prioritizes both user experience and operational longevity. Integrating Design and Functionality: The Contour 21 Philosophy The Armitage Shanks A4131AA basin mixer is an integral part of the Contour 21 range, a collection renowned for its focus on accessibility, hygiene, and contemporary design, particularly within healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. The design philosophy behind Contour 21 emphasizes clean lines, robust construction, and ease of maintenance, all of which are evident in the A4131AA. Key design attributes of this basin mixer include: Compact Dimensions: Measuring 61x154x151 mm, the mixer boasts a streamlined profile that minimizes visual clutter and maximizes basin space. This compact footprint is crucial in environments where space optimization is paramount, ensuring that the fixture complements rather than dominates the washroom aesthetic. Ergonomic Spout Projection: With a 100 mm spout projection, the A4131AA is engineered to provide optimal reach and comfort for users. This carefully calculated projection ensures that water flows directly into the basin, reducing splashback and promoting effective handwashing, a critical factor in maintaining hygiene standards. Sleek Aesthetics: The professional chrome finish and minimalist design allow the A4131AA to blend effortlessly into a variety of interior schemes, from clinical settings to corporate washrooms. Its understated elegance ensures it remains timeless, resisting fleeting design trends. These design elements collectively contribute to a fixture that is not only visually appealing but also inherently practical, aligning perfectly with the rigorous demands of professional installations. Unpacking Performance: Water Efficiency and Operational Benefits Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Armitage Shanks A4131AA is engineered for superior performance, with a particular emphasis on water conservation and operational efficiency. In an era where sustainability is a core consideration for building design and management, the specifications of this basin mixer offer significant advantages. Considerations for its performance include: Optimized Flow Rate: The mixer delivers a precise flow rate of 4.8 liters per minute (l/min) at 3 bar pressure. This carefully calibrated flow rate is a testament to its water-saving capabilities. While providing sufficient water for effective handwashing, it significantly reduces overall water consumption compared to standard mixers, leading to substantial savings on utility bills and a reduced environmental footprint. Consistent Water Delivery: The specified flow rate at 3 bar ensures consistent and reliable water delivery, even in high-use environments. This consistency is vital for user satisfaction and for maintaining operational efficiency across multiple units within a large facility. Contribution to Green Building Standards: By minimizing water usage, the A4131AA helps facilities meet stringent green building certifications and sustainability targets. This makes it an ideal choice for projects aiming for LEED, BREEAM, or similar environmental accreditations. The integration of such water-efficient technology underscores Armitage Shanks' commitment to providing solutions that are not only functional but also environmentally responsible and economically advantageous for facility managers. Durability, Hygiene, and Installation Flexibility For any fixture destined for public or commercial use, durability and ease of maintenance are non-negotiable. The Armitage Shanks A4131AA is constructed to withstand the rigors of continuous use and frequent cleaning, ensuring a long service life and consistent performance. Key aspects contributing to its professional suitability include: Robust Construction Materials: While not explicitly detailed in the context, Armitage Shanks products are typically manufactured from high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials such as chrome-plated brass. This ensures the mixer can endure constant exposure to water, cleaning agents, and heavy usage without degradation. Enhanced Hygiene: The smooth, non-porous surfaces and minimalist design of the A4131AA facilitate easy cleaning and disinfection, crucial for maintaining high hygiene standards in public washrooms. The absence of intricate crevices reduces areas where dirt and bacteria can accumulate. "No Waste" Feature: The specification "no waste" indicates that the mixer is supplied without an integrated waste mechanism (e.g., pop-up waste or clicker waste). This design choice offers significant flexibility for specifiers and installers. It allows for the selection of a separate waste solution that perfectly matches the specific basin type (e.g., unslotted basins, basins requiring specific accessibility wastes) or project requirements. It simplifies inventory management for large projects, as the mixer can be paired with various waste options as needed. It can also be beneficial in environments where tamper-proof or specialized waste systems are preferred for security or maintenance reasons. This thoughtful approach to design and specification ensures that the A4131AA is not only a reliable product but also one that offers practical advantages throughout its lifecycle, from initial installation to long-term maintenance. Conclusion: A Professional Choice for Modern Washrooms The Armitage Shanks A4131AA basin mixer represents a meticulously engineered solution for contemporary commercial and public washrooms. Its integration within the Contour 21 series underscores its commitment to accessibility, hygiene, and robust performance. From its compact dimensions and ergonomic spout projection to its water-efficient flow rate and flexible "no waste" design, every aspect of the A4131AA has been considered to meet the exacting standards of professional specifications. By choosing the A4131AA, architects, specifiers, and facility managers are investing in a fixture that delivers: Superior Design: Aesthetically pleasing and functionally optimized for diverse environments. Environmental Responsibility: Significant water savings contributing to sustainability goals. Uncompromising Durability: Built to withstand the demands of high-traffic areas.
